C-SPAN Broadcast Hijacked By Russian Television Network ‘Russia Today’

Thursday morning’s regularly scheduled broadcast of C-SPAN was coming to viewers live from the floor of the House of Representatives in Washington D.C. when it was randomly and mysteriously taken over by Russia Today, an American-language news network that is owned by the Russian government. C-SPAN and Russia Today are neither affiliates nor have any specific partnership either casually or formally.

Perhaps more troubling is that the network Russia Today was implicated in the declassified intelligence reports that were released last week accusing Russia of interfering with the 2016 presidential election. n.

The interruption happened at around 11:30 am PST, during a speech representative Maxine Waters, a Democrat from California, was making from the floor.

Even more interesting, is that the scrolling media marquis at the bottom of the Russia Today broadcast? A reference to the Hillary Clinton’s e-mail, which are suddenly no longer an issue for anybody.
