It is with immense sadness to report that Ruline Steininger, a Bros4Hillary perennial favorite from the campaign season last year, has passed away. Ruline made headlines during the 2016 presidential election for being Hillary Clinton’s oldest campaign supporter. She died on Tuesday night at 103. But Ruline caucused for Hillary in Iowa, determined to live to see the first female president inaugurated.

“I’ve got a big job ahead of me … I’ve got to live,” she said to CNN in February 2016. “After that, OK, I can die if I want to, but I’m going to live until she’s elected.”

More from the CNN report:
Steininger was born in 1913, before the first World War, when women could not vote. During the 2016 campaign, CNN documented Steininger’s efforts to help elect Clinton — the country’s first woman to capture a major political party’s nomination for president.
We regret we could not give her the history she and all of us wanted, but everyone here at Bros4America feels blessed and honored to have helped fight alongside her for the goal. Her tenacity and unconditional support for Hillary were inspirational. Before she died, Ruline told her son-in-law to send Hillary a note after her death and “to let her know that she’ll still be fighting.”
Thank you Ruline for the inspiration. We love you.
